Whiskey & Ramen in Anchorage is easily one of the best ramen spots you’ll find, outside of Japan!! Chef Mike makes an incredible broth with serious depth and richness. I ordered the Dark Horse ramen, and it was outstanding — perfect if you like bold, flavorful ramen. I started with the Scotch tamago egg, which was cooked perfectly - great way to start the meal!The bar is just as impressive — Corey makes fantastic drinks and helped me try a unique Nest beer from Japan that hasn’t been brewed in over 50 years! Great ramen, great drinks, and a great crew 🔥 Whiskey & Ramen is a must-visit in Anchorage - you can’t go out to eat in Alaska without visiting this restaurant!

We had another great meal at Whiskey and Ramen and specifically wanted to leave a review after this visit because the service was so exceptional. The space has that intimate yet modern vibe. Perfect for a date night or special dinner, while still feeling welcoming. Living up to the restaurant’s name, the ramen is the highlight. The broth was rich and deep with noodles that have that great chewy texture. We love trying their different appetizers, they’re always plated with great attention to detail. And of course, the cocktail selection is unique with a good variety. My favorite is the Ichigo on a Summer Evening. What made this visit stand out, though, was our server, Alex. Whisky & Ramen has such a cool, hidden vibe—it’s easily one of the most atmospheric spots in Anchorage The Drinks: Started with the Komorebi Old Fashioned and it was excellent. Perfectly balanced and clearly made by people who know their spirits. The Food: The Dark Horse: This ramen was good. The broth had depth and everything was fresh. To be honest, I’ve had better ramen elsewhere, but there was nothing to complain about here. It’s a very solid bowl. Tebasaki Chicken Wings: These were a highlight. Super crispy and seasoned perfectly. Definitely don't skip these. Chocolate Birthday Cake: Ended the night with this and it was the perfect rich finish to the meal. 10/10 - really delicious food ! we enjoyed allll of it. Pictured - Front “Dark Horse” Ramen and back “Business Lounge”. Appetizer “Takoyaki” Octopus Dumplings. Takoyaki was a unique and interesting taste, a teeny bit fishy but as someone who doesn’t like fishy it was still very good. It was also dancing!! Business Lounge was my favorite ramen even though it wasn’t my order haha. Would come again ! Great place. Sat at bar and had good and quick service.

I had to try this place. It is very popular. If you have eaten Ramen in Japan then the ramen here will be what you remember except you pay twice the price. I had the “ Dark Horse ramen” it was good and average size. It was not very spicy as advertised on the menu. All in all the place is good and has a good vibe. Would I wait for a table , No. Upstairs the have a very large bar that was great to eat and have drinks , but the service was slow.
