Planet Anchorage Bed and Breakfast

JoAnna has the most wonderful house, with comfortable, cozy, welcoming rooms. It is a joy to stay there, as it is close to downtown, the trails, bus service, grocery shopping, and easy to get to and from. JoAnna has the perfect personality for hosting anyone who stops or stays in Anchorage. I highly recommend (and have stayed there for years and years and won't stay anywhere else in Anchorage!).

My boyfriend and I were in Anchorage last weekend to run Mayor's Half Marathon and were running out of options since all the hotels in the area were full. We happened across Planet Anchorage B & B and as soon as we walked in the door were so pleased to have had the opportunity to stay there. JoAnna, the owner, was so sweet to us. We had been camping for a few days prior to arriving in Anchorage and it felt like we had a friend welcome us right into her place. The bed was comfortable and the food was fresh and wonderful and prepared with love. We were more than ready for our race the next day after waking up to a delicious breakfast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area. We didn't have a lot of time in Anchorage however with the location, it was perfect

After our wonderful cruise, Joanna was the perfect hostess for our family of six adults needing four rooms for three nights. Convenient to both downtown and the airport, the location worked very well. The accommodations were clean and charming; beds very comfortable; breakfasts excellent; coffee strong and plentiful; company delightful. We even had movie nights! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Located in a quiet residential area, it was $25 inc tip taxi fare from the airport. JoAnna was welcoming, helpful and engaging and put a great, freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Breakfasts became social occasions chatting with JoAnna and her other guests. Had a great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was immaculately clean with big fluffy towels. We had the Japanese themed room downstairs, but heard no noises/footsteps from above.|Planet B and B has a very reasonable tariff by Anchorage standards and far more character than any similarly priced barren motel room. If ever in Anchorage again, this is where we would stay.

Staying at Planet Anchorage with Joanna was like visiting with a friend. A warm greeting, very comfortable room and great breakfast make this B & B a great choice. Joanna made you feel like part of a family. It was fun to enjoy breakfast with other guests and share travel experiences. I borrowed a bike that was in great shape to ride along the Coastal Trail which was excellent and very accessible for Planet Anchorage. Joanna reccomended places to go as well. Great host. Very accomodating.
