Wheat's Artisan Bakery and Pizzeria

This the the hidden Gem of Childress to me. The pizza is amazing but the hand pies are TO DIE FOR!!! I literally dream of them! Super fast and friendly and comfortable. My favorite place to go to in town!

I just had the BEST muffuletta sandwich and I cannot stop thinking about it! From the very first bite, I knew it was something special. The bread was perfectly warm and unbelievably soft — that fresh, pillowy texture that melts in your mouth but still holds everything together beautifully. The layers inside were packed with flavor. Every bite had the perfect balance of savory meats, creamy cheese, and that tangy olive spread that ties it all together. Nothing was overpowering — it was just pure harmony. If you like a cracker for a Pizza, this is the place to go. Every time I picked up the pizza, it almost fell in my lap. The sauce was absolutely terrible. My wife had a Turkey sandwich. If you can call it that there was just one thin piece of Turkey. She said the bread tasted real good. This overpriced restaurant I have ever been to. Will not be back

Stopped here for dinner while on a work trip and the staff is super sweet and the pizza was amazing. Nice, cozy spot to have a nice dinner

Delicious food. Unique and inviting atmosphere. Friendly service. The servings were very generous. I had a croissant sandwich and it was DELICIOUS, best croissant I’ve ever had. Purchased a loaf of rustic bread to take home and it was great as well.
