W.H. Stanton Memorial Library

I just love this sweet little library in Social Circle. I don't see how anyone could say they had a negative experience (says a lot about em if they do!) Clean, welcoming, and the staff are awesome. My child begs to stop by whenever we are out and about. Keep it up! Looking forward to the holiday programs. Hope you have a wreath making one. I need something new for my door haha

I have been to a lot of libraries over the years. This is by far the best one! There are numerous activities for children and adults. The professional, friendly staff make sure you feel welcome. In addition, it is a pleasure to enter because it is always beautifully decorated. Update: I just had another great time at this library. Game Day on Thursday mornings is always fun, friendly and fantastic! We play the standards, like Uno and Scrabble and more challenging games like Trivial Pursuit or Rummikub. We laugh, strategize and enjoy each other's company.

Since the former director left Stanton, things have gone downhill so quickly. New management is very unwelcoming (as are some staff members). Our sweet little library that was so friendly, fun, and had the BEST programs run by a fantastic former staff member, is gone. Our homeschool art group was told we could no longer meet there unless we paid $100 per month after being told it was completely fine to meet there twice a month. No one was able to share a new policy with me including the directors at the main office (just emailed a copy of the old policy which states no private functions allowed). We found it very odd that what they were asking us to do went against their own policy. The director at Stanton has been very rude to us as well as sweet friends of ours and a special needs studen

This is one of the cutest libraries I've been to! My kiddo loves all the fun activities the staff put on. Lovely environment and even more lovely librarians. Thank you for protecting our freedom and right to knowledge. A little knowledge never hurt nobody.

The staff who work here are beyond caring and attentive to all patrons, regardless of age! They have fun activities and games that are held weekly by knowledgeable members. I have never had a bad experience. Anytime I need help with finding books, printing papers or working on the computer, there is ALWAYS someone that’s willing to jump up and help anyway they can. I’m so happy to have this local, amazing place with our quaint little town.
