Westland Public Library - William P. Faust Public Library

Nice library with the worst parking if you are handicapped. Whoever designed this parking lot, should have their legs broken, and then have to navigate it for eternity. There is a dropoff loop; but if you drove on your own, you got a quarter mile trek from the parking lot to the entrance. Inside, the main hallway is awash in natural light. Staff was super friendly. Pretty good selection of media. Recommended

Beautiful library, very spacious, many tables and areas to study and work, large selection of books, kids area, vending machines

The place is huge!! Haven't been here since remodel!! You could literally, spend all day here!! The staff are very helpful!! You can check out more than books now. You could borrow books, music, dvd's, and they have computers to find things and also to rent. The list goes on and on!!

Everything about the library from the moment you pull into the parking lot is beyond exceptional. They have the kindest, informational, and helpful staff. I could carry on for days. Just know, any bad day can be turned around at the Westland Library! ❤️

Perhaps I’m in my NIMBY era but, whatever happened to libraries being quiet? It’s a great service to the community, but the unfortunate openness of the architecture allows echoing from anywhere in the building (such as the children’s area) to reach anywhere else. There is always talking. It’s nobody’s fault and I can’t imagine much can be done, but it just means it’s not a great place to sit and read or study sadly.
