Westborough Public Library

I’m really disappointed with the Westborough Public Library staff. The temporary location itself is actually great — open, bright, and with a wonderful children’s area. Unfortunately, the staff are consistently unwelcoming and often outright rude. I’ve been bringing my kids here for six years, and I’ve never experienced treatment like this at any other library. Unlike Shrewsbury Public Library, where you’re greeted with a smile, a “welcome,” or even a simple “hello,” the staff here rarely acknowledge patrons. Even when I politely say hello or goodbye, most of the time they don’t respond at all. I’ve had several uncomfortable interactions. Once, when I was alone with my baby in the children’s room (the only person there), staff told me to “be quiet” because I was “disturbing people,” even

Everyone here at this library, does a lot for the community I cannot say enough good things about the Westborough library it is a godsend the staff does an amazing job 8-2025 update So after years and years of talking they are finally upgrading this Library which I think is absolutely fantastic and I just can't wait for it to reopen Kaitlyn Meghan Juan Sarah Lynn Tony........everyone does an amazing job and it is a vital resource to the community

Nursing moms shouldn't bother coming here, they don't want us here. :( And no, I was not offered an alternative location despite asking where I should go. Shame.

Its way too loud In there. Please get rid of the indoor playground. I don't want to listen to kids playing and running around.

This is a fantastic library. I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Hannah the main librarian of the children's sections. She has infused so much freshness and vibrancy to the overall look and feel of the kids' library and programs like the summer reading program. My 7yr old is always up for spending time at the library which a great recommendation in itself. I also appreciate all the community events done at the library - it's a huge part of why we love living in Westborough!
