West End Pizza

The original owners of the West end pizza were definitely something special, and there are aspects of the originals that are similar. The pizza is still fresh and tasty. However, after being a loyal customer for many years, I have to say I’m disappointed with the service that has been received from the new owners. They close the restaurant for dine-in an hour and a half before their listed closing hours even though it’s just pizza. 🤦‍♀️ not to discredit their hard work, but it is ridiculous to act like it’s so hard to serve a pizza two hours before closing. I have to say I will definitely be taking my family and I’s patronage elsewhere if things continue being this way, since tonight wasn’t the first time they turned us away hours before closing when it’s not even crazy busy in there. Crust- 6.3 Cheese- 5.8 Sauce- 5.5 Notes: Overly cheesy and extremely oily with little to no flavor. Cheese has a gum like texture. The crust was light and airy, yet had little to no flavor and was slightly oily. Could have used more crust. Sauce has a faint sweet taste to it and was noticeably seasoned yet had an unpleasant after taste. Too much sauce overall.

This may have been my first time back since the new owners took over. Pleased to say the pizza is still delicious! The only two issues I had were they don't tell you paying cash gets a slight discount. By the time I saw that on the sign I had committed to paying with my card but not a big deal on a < $20 order. The other slight issue was the cheese tends to come off the top when you first try to take some slices out. Again, not a huge deal. I'm not sure how this can be fixed as I'm not a pizza chef by any means lol. Anyway, if you're in the west Bristol or Terryville area, I think this pizza is tough to beat! Certainly blows Terryville and Hometown out of the water.

I haven’t been here since the 90s. I don’t live in the area. New owners, same great restaurant. Glad I was passing through.

Food is really good. The pizza is nice and crispy and cheesy. The pepperoni us cooked all the way crispy on the edges for those that like that style pizza. If you don't like it that way make sure to say something but the pizza is great the way they make it.
