West Dennis Free Public Library

Nice library books, areas to study and work. Air conditioning, bathrooms, WIFI. Librarians are very helpfully and knowledgeable.

Everyone was very friendly and informative. There was a good selection for kids, many tables and chairs to read or study, and plenty of parking in the back.

I've used this library and other nearby libraries for years and each had it's own unique charm. A few things I've enjoyed are: the friendly staff members that make you feel welcome, great programs, nice collection of books and other materials, added bonus that the Dennis Historical Society is housed upstairs. New computers are another bonus. I've become accustomed to the atmosphere here over the years and find it a pleasant distraction from the outside world. I gladly tune out people around me and happily read the newspaper, a book, or use the computer. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'd like to share mine regarding the previous negative reviews: Yes, it's true the library's motto is "You don't have to whisper." But there ARE places in the library that are far enough away from

this is the only library I know where librarians are the reason for the noise. I came in to study for the test to an empty library however I had great difficulty to concentrate because librarian and elder volunteer lady had the loudest conversation. After I very politely asked for them to speak a bit quietly I was pointed out to the t-shirt they had on sale, where it is said: "you don't have to whisper". So keep that in mind if you're planning to go there.

This library was aweful if you intend to get some work done. The desks are a joke and there is no way to isolate yourself. The place smelled and sounded like a nursing home, with old people weezing and coughing and talking loud because their hearing aids were out. There is a frigin chair lift on the stairs. do not go
