Wellspring Manor & Spa

I had an incredible weekend stay with my best friend at Wellspring Manor & Spa. Lisa and Sheila immediately made us feel welcome. They put energy and care into all they did throughout the weekend for us and the other guests, yet somehow they made everything feel and look effortless, handling all details with mindfulness and warmth. In the mornings, we enjoyed delicious homemade breakfasts, and in the afternoons we had wonderful hors d’oeuvres with wine and charcuterie & various treats (best chocolate truffles!). The entire property is filled with astonishingly beautiful art - the Barn is an experience in itself. Barry, the curator, took time to walk us through the collection, sharing stories and insight. I celebrated my 60th birthday this past weekend at the Wellspring Manor & Spa and the accommodations and service were both superior and stellar. Shelia is truly "one of one" and she made my weekend super special. Her attention to detail was amazing. I felt so at home and cared for. Breakfast was topnotch both days of my stay. Shelia prepared breakfast on the Saturday of my stay, and Lisa (co-owner of the estate) prepared breakfast on Sunday. One word describes both breakfast days - OUTSTANDING!!! A special shout out to Zak for an absolutely transformative massage and Brittany for the totally relaxing combined yoga/mediation session. The Wellspring Manor and Spa is top notch. The grounds and facilities are expertly maintained. The host and owners are very welcoming, professional, and accommodating. They are attentive to all of your needs and do their best to accommodate every request. It is a perfect weekend getaway, location to hold a private event, or just a retreat to relax. The art collection is stunning. Breakfast was perfect. Wellspring is definitely a hidden gym in the D.C. area.

This was the first time my wife and I have ever used a bread and breakfast (B&B). I didn't have any expectations. Needless to say, we were blown away. Wellspring has set the bar for us going forward. The service (Sheila) was impeccable. We felt spoiled as she catered to our needs and prepared to address any wants. Breakfast was great - two courses on Saturday and Sunday. Our dietary needs were taken into account and the food was delicious. I set up a couple of massages for my wife and she raved about it once done. A deep tissue massage followed by reflexology and she was floating for the rest of the day. The art adorning the walls was beautiful and tasteful. Some were for sale and others for decoration. Designed to help you relax and unplug, but sparking your interest in beautiful pieces of artwork and decor. We came for the Valentines weekend special, which was worth the cost. From the live Jazz musical performance, to champagne and roses in our luxury suites, to the beyond delicious meals cooked by Chef Renee! All I can say is we will be back!
