Well Red: Second Story

Delicious coffee/ espresso drinks, and a great book selection. My wife loves the original Well Read location, and this additional location looks great! It is very open, and has plenty of seating with both indoor and outdoor patio areas. Check this place out if you ever get the chance!

Knowing how cozy, welcoming, & delicious the original Auburn Well Red is, I was eager for WR Second Story to open. It's close enough for me to walk to, & it has not disappointed. I will caution any Northerners here that the inside temperature is kept chillier the hotter it is outside - which can be uncomfortable unless you bring layers. (That's also true for many other public inside spaces in the Deep South. )

Well Red Read: Second Story is hands-down my favorite coffee shop in Auburn. The coffee, drinks, and food selection is spot on and will satisfy any appetite no matter what time of day. Various quiches, muffins, biscuits, and breakfast cookies are perfect with your favorite morning coffee. Their red velvet cookie is a very satisfying afternoon snack. And an after dinner glass of wine paired with cheesecake is excellent choice while having a relaxing conversation with family and friends. The coffee, drinks, and food are executed by the best group of team members. I have never once had a sub-par customer experience. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and seem genuinely happy to be working at Well Red. In conclusion Well Red is Well Excellent!

Nice and new location in 2024 to relax, drink a coffee, and read. Very warm and nice atmosphere w outside seating.
