Wayland Town Beach

A very beautiful beach, with play area, floating dock and swimming area in the lake. Best for the residents of Wayland town. However, non-resident can come visit any day, they've to buy a pass which is $15. You can buy season pass as well. Vibes on the beach are very relaxing, calm and full of chirping birds. A perfect place to spend time with family and friends, kids would love this. A boat rental is available there as well for some additional fees. Staff could maintain the place by cleaning water from certain area, but otherwise water is good for swimming. Sunset time is the best, sunshine reflecting on the water surrounded by woods. A must visit place!

We really enjoy visiting Wayland Town Beach — it’s a beautiful public beach with swimming in the lake and a relaxing atmosphere for families. However, the BBQ area definitely needs improvement. There are only a few grills available, and they’re usually taken early by others. Many people bring food to grill but end up not finding a spot, which is frustrating especially after paying for access. It would be great if the beach could expand the grilling area and add more grills and picnic tables. It would make the experience much better for everyone, especially during weekends when it’s crowded. Thanks for considering this suggestion!

Crowded on weekends and hot days. Lifeguards don't let you do much. Trash strewn all over in the wooded picnic area. Water not that clean. For a membership beach you'd expect a daily cleanup at least.

Place is nice & clean. However, there is limited tables and grills. The few tables are very, very close to each other with very limited grills. So, expect waiting to use your own grill by your table because strangers are using it. Also, make sure you have everything you need from your car when you arrive because you will be questioned by the lady at the entrance each time you leave to your car and come back in. Bathrooms, beach area, inside & outside areas are very clean with lots of kids entertainments. Is NOT a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors if that is what you are looking for. I would ONLY, ONLY recommend this place if you have kids and dont mind strangers by your table at all times and make sure you arrive before 11am. Place is okay.. 🫤

The Wayland town beach was clean, had a nice shallow swimming area for kids. Lots of space to spread out. They also have kayak rentals and a snack bar! Highly recommend.
