Wawa

Friendly staff and made to order foods. Wawa often gets compared to Sheetz due to their made to order menu and similar cultivated atmosphere of not only a gas station, but a rest stop of sorts. Did you know that both Wawa and Sheetz are both headquartered in Pennsylvania? Wawa, as far as I can tell, is relatively new to North Carolina, but seems to be a nice enough place.

I mean, it’s a Wawa, so nothing crazy fancy but because I grew up in Philly, I was super excited to get one in Garner. I haven’t tried their shorties yet but definitely plan on it in the future. I did try their soft pretzels and they were fresh, far from being stale. It was INCREDIBLY clean and the checkout girl was nice & friendly. I’ll be back for a hoagie and an icee!! (oh and their gas prices seem good too)

I would say that the food was just OK at best. It was pretty overpriced for the quality. $5 for 3 small chicken nuggets and they were not good. The spicy chicken sub was pretty decent along with the philly sandwich. The quesadilla needed to be cooked for another few minutes but I could tell they were beyond swamped late on a Friday and it took about 25-30 minutes to make our order. The fries were bad and snack wraps also needed much longer to cook, the cheese was not even melted. Overall, it was worth trying once but very unlikely I will try the food again. Definitely disappointing. $35 for all this

Ordered delivery and my Cheesy Turkey, Bacon & Egg Omelet Breakfast Panini I did not receive. Mocha Iced Latte and Blue Raspberry Frozen Lemonade we’re in large containers at a very good price. They tasted ok but nothing special. UPDATE 7/30/25 My 2 sandwiches were both big but the Ham Hoagie I had to resemble because it was thrown together. The Wawa Roast Beef Hoagie was 75% lettuce. The Scrambled Egg Sides were WAY too salty and the croissant was suppose to be toasted with butter and it was not toasted and ice cold with some butter thrown on it. Wawa Strawberry Banana Smoothie was only 60% full when I paid for a full drink.Waste of money and I won’t be back!!

The first WaWa this close to home. I am waiting for more. Excellent service, tasty food, and a wide variety of products. Today was a busy day with a big crowd. They offered free coffee and a great price on drinks. Is it always worth the time to stop here. #WWE # American Nightmare
