Waterhouse Restaurant

Took my wife here for her birthday and was very pleased. We had expresso martini and vodka cranberry for drinks and they were perfect. For food we had the crab cakes, mushroom and onion soup, then we both had the 8 ounce tenderloin mashed potato, carrots and greenbeans. Everything was cooked prefect and delicious.

This restaurant was beneath my radar for years until someone recommended it. It was mid-afternoon on a lovely summer day, so we opted for outdoor seating along the water. The Waterhouse is an unexpected, elegant farm-to-table experience that does not disappoint. The options are American cuisine, but don't be fooled. The freshness of ingredients creates an entirely new experience for each dish. We ordered lobster wontons, Caesar salad, Waygu flatbread, eggplant roulade, and ended with creme brule and key lime cheesecake: all were beyond excellent and gave new perspectives of flavor through impeccable quality. Disappointed with our take out order. The lobster wontons had no filling. Flat with about 1/2t of something filling which was not lobster or cream cheese. Beet salad was ok. Flavor was good, greens a little wilty. My daughter’s roasted veggies were just ok. The one fantastic item was the sauce for the wontons. Just not up to the quality we remember from before. My daughters both worked there years back when it was close to 5 star.

Overall good experience and i would reccomend while in the area. The menu options and execution were a little less than I had hoped for, for the price, however, the atmosphere and service from Kristen were top notch! The creamy mushroom soup and carrots with my steak were supurb! Also, excellent drinks, one of the better dirty martinis I've had. View of the creek was very cute.

The restaurant has a beautiful vibe and atmosphere. Staff was relatively friendly and polite. I ordered a burger with fries and the normal burger veggies. Veggies were fresh, bun was homemade and delicious and the fries were cooked well and tasted very good. The major problem was the burger…quite honestly the worst burger I have ever eaten. I ate around the majority of it as it was dry and tasted like boiled dog food. It was in truth inedible in my opinion. My friend had ordered the same and halfway thru our meal I asked how it was and her response was “it’s gross”. We decided not to say anything as we felt bad with it being such a nice restaurant.
