Washington County Library

Terrible hours. Rude to children of all ages, but mostly to the older kids. The tween hangout was very sad. The staff purposely tries to keep the children apart so they can't socialize. Nowadays the kids are really struggling with their social life. It basically doesn't exist ever since COVID and all the changes in our culture. The adults should try harder. It stinks that this library doesn't care more and isn't nice to kids.

Got a ride for my child to get WiFi today didn’t see a sign out anything pertaining to 13 age limit . She’s12.She got to spend a couple hours ,she went to lunch returned back to finish her school work . She told them parent was outside and was told plainly to Get Out! Not well being your parent isn’t inside you will need to leave or ask them inside for the rules but Get Out! I Firmly and harshly! From the reviews I guess I should’ve been more selective ! I really don’t remember libraries being this rude but apparently this one is!

I have visited this library on 3 different occasions with my son to complete our lessons for our homeschool. The staff were extremely loud on all 3 occasions. They have no regards for the people who are present. No attempt to use a low tone. You can hear all of their conversations throughout the library. Another woman near us on the last occasion mentioned to the staff that she could not concentrate and instead of acknowledging her concern, one of the staff members said to another staff member, “Did you tell her we are closing early today?” Each visit to this library was less than a hour and had to leave prematurely due to the excess noise.

This library is on the rise with educating with innovative and possibilities that have never been considered it shows with their interaction with the public and the children who are the priority for them we do appreciate your sincerity and you're very intelligent abilities
