Washburn Public Library

The Washburn Public Library has something for everyone. A beautiful historic brownstone building, it is kept comfortably warm in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, and the friendly and courteous staff are always willing to go the extra mile to get you what you want. There are a variety of programs for children every week, and it is obvious in watching them interact with the staff that they feel safe and welcome at their library. There are two smaller rooms and one larger central room downstairs which can be reserved for meetings and other activities, and there is always something going on. It really is a hub of activity for the community.

I love to go down in the basement and look at all the old yearbooks. The library offers lots of kids activities in the summer. They also have a wonderful selection of books to choose from.

I love this library! The staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful. The Washburn Public Library is one of the reasons my quality of life is so great in Washburn.
