Ward's Fish Market

So glad we stopped by. This place is unique, clean and welcoming. Plus the food is exact. We had crispy fried whiting, shrimp and flounder. Each of which cannot be improved upon. We selected the cornmeal coating. You can pick out the seafood to be cooked.

Delicious fresh fried fish! Customers select their fish from showcase. The fish are already cleaned, waiting for the customer to select. The restaurant staff assist with whatever seafood you pick. You tell me how you want your fried fish prepared; fried hard, medium, or soft. Do you want it cooked with corn meal or seafood batter. Ward's have crokers, spots, porky's, catfish, shrimp, and more! One can dine in or take out. You can have them cook it or take home to cook. It's not the fanciest place, but it's clean. We eat here often.

Whilst on one of my southern adventures in the small town of Lake City, I discovered this SOUTHERN DIAMOND purely by accident. To my delight, I've learned of a South Carolina Lowcountry seafood delicacy Shad roe (caviar). Thank you to the young ladies working that evening for your friendliness and for educating Queenie's Daughter in things Lowcountry Southern. The food I came back to order with my brother was wonderful. The prices are more than reasonable. And yes I will be back again

My family really loves this place and they will return they stay! I do not eat fish or seafood, but the atmosphere was very nice and the people were super friendly! I would take them back again, my family🩷

Customer service was not friendly. Some of the ladies that work in there are not nice. Especially the old lady with the glasses. RUDE!!!! They can at least wait until customers leave out of their fish market before talking about them. My husband and I went to the fish market in Kingstree. Best customer service. I highly recommend customers to go to the fish market in Kingstree. I will never support Ward's Seafood again even if there are no more fish markets in this state. Dissatisfied customer.
