Piggybacks BBQ & Catfish

I wanted barbecue pork today on our journey from our home in Chapin, SC to Surfside Beach. I wanted to get off the boring interstates route (I20 & I95). I found Piggyback’s BBQ & Catfish on Google Maps in Lake City, SC (and with an excellent rating). We stopped by for lunch on the outside with our dog. We both had a barbeque pork sandwich, fries and fried okra. All were delicious and the meat was packed on the bun. With a sampling of their World’s Best catfish nuggets, we will have that next time too. Clean and inviting space, friendly people, great prices, delicious food - highly recommended!

Food was delicious, staff were friendly. We will be back to try more things. The inside is really cute.

We were traveling from Palm Beach Gardens Fl to Myrtle Beach to visit family for the holiday I did not want fast food looking up google restaurants near me… we found this gem!!! To our delight took us off the main track to the most lovely little downtown area I assume Quaint and lovely .. now the food here It was delish Atmosphere was wonderful. We got a family style sampler platter Due to being 8pm unfortunately we didn’t get to try the brisket which I’m sure was delish . Our picks were ribs, catfish, pulled pork, collards, okra, onion rings, and Cole slaw. Loved it all!! Even though we ordered at register staff was attentive to our needs with bring items we needed!

We were not planning to stop in Lake City, but due to an unforeseen schedule change, we stopped here for lunch, and I am glad we did. The restaurant is clean, even the bathroom. Not knowing when we might return, we ordered a variety of food. The chicken wings and hushpuppies were delicious. Very much enjoyed the whole dining experience.

Driving west out of Myrtle Beach and took the rural route to enjoy the scenery. Blown Away by this place! This little out of the way place is a great surprise! Had the catfish fillets. They also offer nuggets. But they have chicken wings, burgers, BBQ and sometimes steak! My wife had the Blue Cheese and Sirloin Salad and loved it! Highly recommend!
