Wallington Veterans Memorial Library

It’s been about a year since the new Wallington Public Library opened its doors, and it’s quickly become one of the best community spaces in town. The new building on Main Avenue is bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with cozy reading corners, modern study rooms, and a welcoming children’s area that families love. The difference from the old upstairs location is incredible — it finally feels like the library Wallington has always deserved. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, always eager to recommend a book or help with research. As someone new to town, I was excited to visit the local library to study. However, my first experience left much to be desired. Upon entering, I politely asked the front desk attendant if it was okay for me to sit and study. She said yes, but then informed me that I wasn’t allowed to bring my water bottle inside. While I understand certain restrictions, I offered to put the water bottle in my bag, but she insisted that I leave it on the floor outside the door. I expressed concern about leaving my belongings unattended in an unsanitary place, yet she remained firm, citing it as “policy.” I found this rule quite unreasonable, especially considering she herself had a drink behind the counter. Mariah gave me an awesome plus a great /positive vibe experience for it being my first time at this public library. She is a kind and phenomenal soul really . My family are very new residents to this community . I have a few conditions and she treated without prejudice. She is very calm and humble (soothing ) great to have had her assisting me . 🙂
