Wake Up Call - 27th

Just bought a peach smoothie about 20 minutes before closing on the 27th/Vancouver shop. This smoothie tasted like it was made with alot of peach syrup instead of the peach smoothie mix. Its so sweet im not gonna even drink it. I should've went back but I was already down the street when I tried it. What a waste of money! Mind you I bought one from this same place two days ago and it was good! Also the barista seemed a little bothered that I showed up 20 minutes before closing. Im pretty sure the inside lights were off or dimmed to look like she was closed. I thought they were because it was dark inside until I drove through the roundabout and seen the "open" sign on.

Found out this place gives you the same amount of shots regardless of the size drink you order. CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. Not able to give my business to a place that can do this for profit. With coffee at a coffee shop. The last time I got a doe item it had hair stuck in it.

Honestly, the #1 reason I stop by multiple days a week is the team at this location. Serena and Tony are the best. They now know my orders by heart and always have encouraging words to start my morning. They have been there through a new job, family health issues, and just life. No, they are not my "friends," but they are certainly some of the best customer service experts around. I would hire them in heart beat, if I had an opening. Their charm mixed with their coffee skills is truly appreciated. Anyway, did I mention that the coffee is also really good? I appreciate that Wake Up Call has kept some of the best drinks from the previous companies and capitalized on the elements that made those drinks successful. Disappointed with the Mad Hatter Drink I decided to try the Mad Hatter drink. The Mad Hatter drink tasted incredibly strong, almost like drinking cough syrup. It was overpowering and not enjoyable at all. I believe that if the syrup was cut in half, it might be more drinkable for customers. To salvage the drink, I had to add an additional 16oz of seltzer water to dilute the strong taste. It was disappointing to have to alter the drink so significantly just to make it somewhat palatable. On a positive note, I appreciate having your business in our neighborhood. However, I would strongly suggest reconsidering the syrup ratio for the Mad Hatter drink, especially for customers who prefer a more balanced and enjoyable taste.
