Waffle Rush

Besides the strip-mall style location being relatively small and undecorated, this is one of my most highly recommended breakfast spots in town. I usually order To-Go, so the atmosphere inside isn’t a big deal, but when I am inside it’s quiet and the service is wonderful. They’re all very friendly. Mama Deb’s chicken and waffles is my wife’s go to, while I enjoy the Honey Butter Pecan chicken and waffles. The chicken is moist and well seasoned, which pairs fantastically with their waffles.

So the food was good, the service from the lady was good she was very funny and nice once you talk to her BUT the reason why I give it 3 stars its because the price for everything was $120 so I tipped $8 so it should be $128 RIGHT? Well nope i got charged $145… like damn. The worst part its that they dont tell you anything about extra charges to expect or dont even give you a receipt. Honestly not coming back for getting charged for more for NO REASON. So sad honestly.

Friendly people. Momma Deb and Chef Alex were amazing. The food was the best chicken I’ve had in Alaska. Great people. Would recommend!

The Sweet Cream Alabama waffles were absolutely delicious light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. But the real star for me was Mama Deb’s Tenders crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

I go here every time I come back to Alaska. This waffle place got me INTO waffles with “The Boss”. The owners are so funny & kind, the food is amazing, I can’t recommend this place enough!
