Waffle House

I recently visited this Waffle House and placed a to-go order. While I understand the restaurant can get very busy, the experience felt somewhat disorganized. As a to-go customer, I stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes before being acknowledged and able to place my order. During that time, most attention appeared to be given to seated guests, while to-go customers were largely overlooked. At times, staff members were present (as in to take orders) but no one addressed those waiting to order or provided updates. I would recommend improving communication and assigning clearer responsibility for handling to-go orders, especially during peak hours, so all customers feel acknowledged in a timely manner. Nice staff but 1 employee was nasty, he coughed in his had and rubbed his nose and continued to handle the food. I actually saw him dragging the bacon across the counter top. I nearly lost it. I don't think I would ever dine there ever again. Other than that the staff was nice

** worst restaurant service ever!!! Wish I could give it zero stars. This morning, 3/28/24 at 6 am. We pulled up and a waitress came out and made us move our car. No problem. We moved it then we went inside and she stayed outside to smoke. We sat and no one helped up. Eventually, she came up to our table, slapped the sugar down while mumbling, then disappeared into a corner. She didn’t come back to the table. We asked the cook if they were serving today and he said “Your sender is sitting over there” so we left and drove to the one at exit 8. While 10-15 minutes might not be a lot to some, when you’re driving across 5 states, every minute counts. Plus, if you’re not open or capable of sending us- please say something!!

First time eating at the Waffle House. I like the simplicity and the sense of comfort the whole experience brings. The food was delicious!!

Sat patiently for 15 minutes. Nobody said hello, offered coffee or responded to " hi, can we get...." I had the same experience 7 years.ago when Inlast tried to eat at WH. Why do people love it?
