Waffle House

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially since I’m a regular, but this visit was rough. Food was okay (2/5), but service and cleanliness were both 0/5. We never received drink refills and had to flag down another server because the young, dark-haired male server never brought our drinks. He clearly needs basic waiter training. The dining room floor was dirty, dishes were stacking up, and table awareness was lacking. Posting this because this location can do better with proper training and management attention.

We have been visiting the Waffle House in Rainsville since it opened pretty regularly, and this morning (Sunday, February 15, 2026) was absolutely RIDICULOUS. First off, we visited at 4:30 AM and there were 3 employees there - one cook and 2 servers. There were also 2 'guests' who I believe to be friends of one or more of the servers. They were loud, obnoxious young men (presumably 17-19 years old), and acted like this behavior was acceptable. The servers were NOT the typical quick to serve servers we've had in the past - in fact, one made it well known she was leaving WH and got a job elsewhere - how utterly immature. We were there on Sunday and they were covered up but there was a few open spots at the counter, our server (I think her name is Sandra) was awesome, she was very patient as we were deciding what we wanted. The food came out much quicker than I thought it would because the grill was full! I think there were 8 working behind the counter and every single person was constantly busy, everything we ordered was GREAT!!!

I have always loved Waffle House as my mom used to manage one so I grew up in them. This Waffle House was very friendly from the moment we walked in. Stopped what they were doing even tho they were very busy to help us. And then when our waffles were forgotten they were very apologetic and made us fresh new ones. Their floor was very messy but again they just had a big rush so understandable. Definitely would come back!!!

Jaidyn was our server and was very personable and ensured our drinks were filled and we had everything we needed despite them being completely slammed with only 2 servers and 1 cook due to an unexpected change in the football games that night. Noah was cooking and the food was excellent. The hashbrowns were exactly the way I asked for them and my cheesesteak melt was also perfectly cooked.
