Rainsville Library

I first moved to rainsville a month ago and the employees were very nice and very polite. Very accommodating, and they have a great book selection and a cute children book area..

My wife went here to get our daughter a library card, and when she asked whomever was working the library, she was laughed at and they said my daughter had to be at least six years old “because babies can’t check out books haha”. While I understand having to be a certain age to check out books, being disrespectful and laughing at my wife is not okay or acceptable. We will not be using this library going forward.

Computer services are excellent. Great customer service. Printed what I needed and was finished in 30 minutes. I got help immediately, access to a computer as soon as I signed in, quickly located the information I needed and printed it without any problems. Wonderful staff. Computers are up to date and have the latest software.

They wanted to make a reference call for me to obtain a library card here lol don't understand that at all. I presented my ID and filled out an information card but the librarian turned around and told me she had to make a call. Not really sure what she was going to check on lol I mean I dont think they are allowed to deny someone a library card. It's a public library lol .

love the library! my kids love story time and they have a decent selection of newer books
