Waffle House

I’m a WH fan and was so excited to get this location down the road from us. I’ve had it a half dozen times or so. Started off solid, but the last 2-3 times they’ve messed up my to go order. I check my orders before leaving any place to avoid a return trip. The one time they forgot an entire waffle and had no syrup or butter in the bag. Then this last time they forgot the additional waffle again, as well as the bacon that comes with the All-Star Special. They got a side of bacon wrapped up in foil for me and instead of three nice strips, it was whatever this picture shows. Hashbrowns were overcooked to and not nice and potatoey like usual. The staff is definitely nice, but the consistency and quality is lacking.

My wife and I stopped in at the Waffle House in Centerville, OH this evening before passing out Halloween candy, and it couldn’t have been a better choice! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. My wife ordered two eggs over medium, sausage, grits, and buttermilk biscuits… everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. I went with two eggs scrambled with cheese and hash browns scattered, covered, and smothered, with white toast on the side. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, and the food hit the table fast. This crew nailed it from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It's waffle House your not expecting great service. This one is more interested in their to go orders. We told our waitress Deedra that we were missing a side of bacon, and 2 sides of toast. Got our side of bacon when we were done with our food. Never received our 2 sides of toast. Asked for the check and a to go box. 10 min later got check and the waitress accidentally threw her pen in the food we wanted to take. She said she would get new food but I said no that we had already waited long enough and she said that happens when we are busy and walked away.

I visited my local Waffle House for the first time recently. We were invited to sit at the counter, which turned out to be a mistake. The dishwasher was directly underneath our seats, so we could hear dishes clanking and the door slamming, and we could feel the vibrations while it was running. Combined with employees calling out food orders, it was pretty overstimulating—especially before I’d had my morning coffee. That said, the food was served as expected, and our waitress was polite and attentive. It’s also worth noting that Waffle House charges a 20% fee on to-go orders: a 10% service fee and a 10% tip for the preparers.
