Sit out on the back deck and enjoy an island breeze with some delicious treats! I had the seasonal 'Baby Spice' and a bacon egg cheese sando. Definitely recommend the spicy sauce upgrade!

Absolutely delicious food!!! I usually get a wrap of some kind - typically with the house made hummus and every time it is wonderful! The gluten free brownies are also some of the best brownies I’ve ever had and that’s including the gluten kind too! The staff are always warm and welcoming - I will happily recommend anyone to visit Vortex every chance I get!

My wife and I came here for a quick lunch while exploring Lopez Island. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the food was freshly made when we ordered it. I ordered the curry and it was hot, delicious and complex, exactly what was needed after a long morning of hiking in the cold. My wife ordered a vegetarian wrap with peanut sauce and she loved the freshness of the salad and the serving size. The food was light enough to keep us going for the rest of the day. The seating area can be limited on cold days, but overall it is a nice place to eat and warm up.

What a wonderful place to have lunch on the island!!! Friendly staff, and the lady who makes the sandwiches and wraps, with the sweetest smile, served us the heartiest of vegeterian wraps and sandwiches. We were wonderfully surprised in how flavorful and fresh the food was. We used little to no seasoning /condiments because the veggies, hummus, cheese and avocados by themselves were very flavourful, and the herb/spinach tortilla wraps and the freshly baked artisan bread warmed and made perfectly crisp on a cast iron griddle, complimented them perfectly as the outer shell. The fresh juices we ordered were also very tasty. The place was open only wednesday through Saturday, and since we went in on Saturday, we didn't get a chance to visit it again while on the island. If you want delicious, organic, local, healthy food or juice, this is the place. Good is made with love for all. My faves... Southwest bowl, pintos and quinoa bowl, corn hill, the salad with feta and salmon, kale and bean soup...you can't go wrong here! Jean infuses everything with love too!
