Vittoria's NY Pizza

Hate to write this review as we love this place problem is if you order a slice in store it is amazing NY style pizza if you order to go it can be a totally different experience. On this occasion we ordered two pies to go they were both overcooked, lacked flavor and any stretch to the cheese.

Last year this place broke something in me. I thought I understood pizza. Thought I'd eaten everything that mattered, knew all the styles, had the hierarchy figured out. Then I had their grandma slice at the end of a long night after three other stops, and it demolished everything I thought I knew. I've been back multiple times since. Today just confirmed what I already know. That grandma slice is perfect. Not hyperbole. Actually perfect. The crust alone would be enough. Firm, airy, crunchy. Delicious. They could serve me nothing but that crust and it would beat 95% of the pizza in Rhode Island. That's not an exaggeration either. The texture hits every note. Structure without being heavy. Caprese pizza was outstanding! Great array of flavors that will give you cravings to go back again. Also, the Grandma Gorganzola pizza(not pictured) is my go to pizza from Vittorias. So good, and holds up very well when reheating or even cold out of the fridge.

I ordered a chicken parmigiana grinder 1st the bread was gross i’m sorry for being so direct, but I Grew up in Italian family. We’re taking pride in what you serve to People matters. First the bread was absolutely dried right out, burnt to a crisp crumbled Just like breadcrumbs when I bit into it. Secondly, you shouldn’t serve a sesame seed roll with chicken. Parm should be just plain Italian roll with the option of a sesame seed roll if you choose absolutely gross not a good combination. But sesame seeds are disgusting! Next, the chicken was absolutely gross. It was fried in a fryer and overcooked dry as a bone and gross. Definitely taste like frozen chicken that came out of a freezer and went right into a fryer. I will not make this mistake again.

My first time here, and we ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza “to go.” I enjoyed the flavor, the crispy crust and the overall flavor and texture. They also do pizza by the slice, if you’re looking for a quick and simple lunch. We’ll definitely be back to try other offerings. I highly recommend!
