VIP Treats and Sweets Bakery

VIP's sourdough kept us happy throughout our two-week stay! Mild flavor, perfect size for sandwiches, and they cut it fresh on site. And honestly, it's not worth even trying to resist the pastries because she does different flavors daily, and everything was great.

We walked by as we were grabbing lunch in the area and smelled the bread from outside so we stopped in on day 2 of their reopening. We tried MacNut Shortbread and peanut butter cookies as well as a Sticky Bun and Taro roll. My Son bought a sourdough loaf and breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was gone before I could get outside. We quartered the sticky bun and ended going back inside to but two more! Later, we toasted the sourdough bread and enjoyed it with a little butter! The MacNut shortbread cookies had just the right amount of crunch and sweetness. So glad we caught the reopening of VIP bakery. Every item was delicious and prepared with care!

Very cute little shop! We had heard lots about it and had to stop by on our vacation. Being from Phoenix and my grandparents from Boston we don’t often see small bakery shops like this. We got nice and quick service and the shop owner gave us generous suggestions. We were able to find something that everyone liked that was freshly made and sweet. Loved all of the unicorn decor too. This shop is definitely a magical and unique shop!🦄Thank you for helping make our vacation special!

I have been visiting Kauai every year for over a decade and have experienced all of the local bakeries and cafes. VIP Treats and Sweets is a MUST visit for anyone seeking true from scratch baked goods with high quality ingredients. All items are clearly made with love and masterful baking. I really appreciate the clean, simple ingredients and that it all tastes home cooked and not sickeningly sweet like the stuff served at other cafes. A local gem of Kauai and although it's difficult to decide, if I hade to pick my favorite it would be the taro bread. The sandwiches are perfect grab and go for a beach or hike day too.

A very humble small business that deserves a visit. Made fresh and often sold out early, unfortunately. Go past the McDonalds on the corner for better quality baking and more personal service.
