While traveling the country I love stopping at diners, and the Village Diner was the classic American diner, like the Silver Diner chain. It’s a classic silver diner with modern, updated comfort food. The Village Diner has a casual atmosphere with a mix of booths and a counter, with a 1950’s feel, like you would expect, with a menu of American classics and healthier options. I had the French toast, with butter , cinnamon and powered sugar. I do love listening to the counter staff chat with the regular locals, it’s added to the experience of the local diner. So if you’re driving up I84 in Milford PA, make this a stop, it’s conveniently located right off the highway.
We are local and stopped in tonight, Sept. 2, 2025 at 8pm for dinner. This is the second visit in the last couple weeks, first visit my grandson was served burnt fried chicken fingers, waitress claimed it was the way their fryer cooks them, that they “just looked burnt but were not.” Yes they were burnt and he wouldn’t eat them. Tonight our table was dirty with dried food and drink, and we asked to have it cleaned, which waitress promptly did. Problem was we were the only patrons, why wasn’t table already cleaned? We ordered late night omelets, the Dirty Jersey and a ham and cheese, they were overcooked and dry, and we were served the HEELS of rye bread. Worst were the home fries as shown in pics. We were both served extremely dry overcooked burnt home fries. When the waitress asked if eve
I got the ribeye and it was great. The chicken noodle soup was way better than I expected. We went back for more soup and veggies.
I love coming here for breakfast, I haven't been here for lunch or dinner but I'm sure it's great too. The service is great. The food is good and well served. I love the retro look of the place. I hope it stays just the way it is
Today my family and I had breakfast at a cafe. It is a roadside cafe, similar to a metal train car. The room is small, the interior is simple and interesting. The atmosphere is friendly. We were served by Giorgina (I may have the wrong name), she is very nice. My family is very picky about food, we try to eat healthy. We chose omelettes, my husband with mushrooms, I with broccoli, we refused sides (different types of potatoes, toasts). My daughter ordered scrambled eggs. We also ate pancakes. The waitress decided to bring us omelettes with home-made potatoes. And it was great, everything was delicious, not salty, not sweet, not fatty, like in other similar places. We liked everything very much. Definitely 5 stars!
