Village Cafe Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Such a great local breakfast spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without rushing us. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your morning. And our daughter loved the reindeer themed pancakes! Highly recommend supporting this gem! ☕🥞

We got seated pretty quickly, the waitress was nice and polite. It seems like a older person's place to eat, alot of older customers were here. Which is not a bad thing, I like places like that. We just got alot of looks when we walked in and was eating, from the older customers. The food was pretty bland, I had a cheese burger which was good. It was the pancakes I was hoping to be better, I even added blueberries and it still didn't taste like anything. Which is weird, the pancakes must have been made out of hatred because there was no love in them. I love the signs and the look of the inside. The tables and floors were very sticky like they have not been cleaned properly for weeks. Overall I wish the food was better and had high hopes because of the 4.3 star review. This was a sad day fo

When we came in we were informed by the hostess there was a 30 minute wait. I asked if the bar was first come first serve because there was enough seats open. She said no we couldn’t sit there because it wouldn’t be fair to people waiting. Not even 2 minutes later a guy walks in and she says he can sit at the bar because he just one person. Won’t be back.

Food was pretty good, the hash was awesome, the blueberry pancakes were fluffy, loaded with blueberries and delicious and everything came out fast. The coffee could have definitely been better. The service was awesome. Will definitely eat their again.

I love locally/family owned restaurants. The service here is amazing. The food is nostalgic and fast, affordable and hearty portions. Overall a great a place to eat in Lake St. Louis that we like to frequent! Breakfast Tacos are especially good.
