My daughter and I were visiting Rockford from North Carolina for a couple weeks while my husband was doing some schooling for work there. We decided to try this restaurant to get a “Chicago style” pizza. First, the place was very clean. We went during “off” hours so we were the only customers there. Our server, I believe she said her name was Debra, was absolutely fabulous. She was helpful and answered all our questions and gave her recommendations that we were grateful for. The cheese bread was so good and the pizza was probably one of the best ones we’ve had in a long time. We loved the interactions with the server and her daughter. They were funny, witty, and just all around wonderful people. We had so much leftover because we were so full, that we took over half a pizza back to our hot

Costed over $30 for one pizza. When ordering on the phone, the lady didn't mention the price of the pizza. I mentioned to the lady I was looking online at what to buy and asked if the chicken strips contained dairy. They said they threw away the allergy information sheet, therefore they cannot confirm or deny if they contain dairy, so I did not order them. They should not throw away those things when there are customers/ customers who have children/family, etc. with allergies! How terrible. I assumed the prices online were accurate. When arriving to the restaurant through the drive thru, the lady was sitting down on the chair on her phone, took her minutes to realize I was parked by the window, even when I rang the bell more than once, that says ring for service. My grandma got pizza from here. She used to get pizza from them all the time. This last experience made us decide to go elsewhere from now on. They burnt the crust so badly that it was not edible. I called them and they wanted me to send them pictures. They finally got back to me to offer me a $10 credit. I spent $26.30 on a pizza we just had to throw away. They never even apologized for it.

I had an unpleasant experience with another customer who seemed to have a problem with me. As a Navy Veteran, I’ve had enough experience dealing with bigots —and this was no exception. Luckily, no one was injured. In fact, I used my witty sense of humor and found a reason to laugh. Sometimes, people act in unbecoming ways because they want attention. After, the bigot slammed his drink on the table, cleared his throat one too many times, and made irrational comments about ‘these people’ —I begin to look at him like he was a clown. Once he realized he wasn’t getting the reaction he expected, he began making complaints to the waiter about his food. Misery loves company, and I am glad I choose JOY every time a Seed of Satan get jumpy. I got the Fried Cod Special with fries and a salad

I thought I ordered an Italian beef with cheese and grilled onion. However, they decided to send me a cheese with raw onion in a sprinkle of Italian beef. So I'm not sure what that is. Thank God for my onion rings, which were pretty good. The Pizza was bland to say the least. For the money I paid. You think I would have at least got an italian beef with cheese and grilled onion. If this is their idea of an italian beef with cheese and grilled onion, then perhaps I should go show them what it really is.
