Vikings Deli & Grill

It is exactly what it's supposed to be, a deli with chips and candy. I never ordered any sandwiches or hot food. I just go in to grab something real quick. The service is polite and the selection is quite great. For like 2.5 decades I always intend on going to try something hot, but I'm always just in a hurry to grab a drink, chips or breath mints. 😅

I hate writing 1 star reviews but my goodness. I've lived in North Arlington for a few years now and never visited the deli. So when it popped up on DoorDash I decided to do a pick up order. I was surprised with how large the menu was. However, that's the only compliment I can give because I think the large menu overwhelms the staff (1 person working). I was excited to order the waffle, but they called and said they didn't have it so they issued me a refund. I also ordered the turkey sub and it was missing ingredients (there were no onions, oil, vinegar) the sandwich was dry. The beef empanada was cold when I received it and looked nothing like the picture on their DoorDash page. I received the notice that my order was ready for pickup and when I got there it wasn't. I ordered a sandwich on Good Friday in the afternoon and told the girl my order for her to not get it right even after I repeated myself 3 times. I mean it's really not that hard to just put turkey, ham and Swiss with some lettuce and condiments but I only got ham and cheese, and more then likely charged full price for something I didn't even receive. To make it worse, it wasn't even busy. I guess if I want a sandwich done right, gotta go somewhere else.

Vikings deli is really a nice store in our neighborhood . The afternoon clerk is really a nice person and is really patient with the young people that come in there.

So glad to have Wally and his family back. It just wasn't the same without him. The store is back to it's original greatness if not better. The food is fresh and delicious, so glad to have them back. The store is clean and the shelves are fully stocked and dust free, unlike before with the previous owner. Wally and his son truly are a staple within this community. Everyone is family. So glad they're back!
