Viejo Amigo Mexican Restaurant

I waited quite a while to post this because I didn't want to be too critical. I can't get away from it, it is what it is . The service was terrible they had no clue. We sat idk how long another couple came in and was sat in the booth in front of us. They must have ordered fajitas as well because with in minutes the got their I guess you would say garnish (clearly ours) . Meanwhile we w were served our fajitas no garnish plate (lettuce tomato etc). It took another 10-15 minutes to get that by then food was pretty much cold. While eating no one refilled our drinks etc. I had to ask for a refill but told them put it in a Togo cup. Our waitress served our teas to a customer that came in 20 min after us and then had the nerve to tell me after I asked a couple more times they were out. Took fore

This was my first experience coming to this location and I went on Cinco de Mayo thinking I was going to get a good meal. I ordered to go. I ordered 5 steak tacos, a beef burrito, chicken soup and queso. When I got home to eat my tacos, I found my corn tortillas on every taco was over cooked and falling apart. The steak was more bland than not. The presentation was NOT GIVING. They were PLAIN….maybe I should have asked if they came with toppings but I figured a traditional taco would be dressed up. NOPE. I order the soup and it was VERY BLAND as well. As it was made good, the taste was not explosive as I thought. I also ordered the beef burrito for my fiancé and it turned out more like an enchilada with the sauces on top. I was not impressed or happy with my experience especially on Cinco

Average food. Churros were yummy. Average cheese quesadilla. Guacamole was ok. The steak fajita nachos were ok. The cheese was a little runny so it was all on the plate abs thinly veiled on the chips. The steak on the nachos was pretty tough. Everything was super reasonably priced. Portions were very fair. My one thing that bugged me was $1.50 for pickled jalapeños for my nachos. Don't nachos typically come with jalapeños? But to charge for that is really petty. Just rubs me wrong to pay for that. We might be back.

The churri- queso was absolutely terrible, couldn't even tell there was cheese on it so we politely asked if some more could be added and it was brought back with barely any queso added to it. The beef in there quesadilla, chimichanga, and burrito was very bland it had no flavor to it besides it tasted like dog food smells. Sweet tea was terrible tasted like the Urns needed to be washed, just overall steer clear of the place not sure how they're even in business.

My son was given fried chicken that was bloody. I brought it to the waitress attention and instead of an apology, we were told that it’s ok cause she has eaten chicken like that before. I explained to her that it’s against our religion to eat meat with blood it. She also smoked a vaping cigarette freely in the restaurant and my son has asthma. The utensil's and glasses were dirty First experience and the last one at this dirty dining restaurant
