Veterans of Foreign Wars

In town for work. Stopped by and was refused entry. Been a life member at large for 8 years. Was told life members at large aren’t welcome as post leadership could not verify membership eligibility. Ok cool….showed them my DD214 and permanent and total disabled veteran DOD ID card, they still didn’t care. If you are not a post member, go elsewhere. Email will be sent to national and state leadership to address.

a group of golfers (16 life Members) from VFW Post 10804 arrived at Post 7318 Southern Pines, NC for lunch and a couple drinks. We were totally shocked when we were refused service. The bartender, very politely told us it was House Committee policy that no out of state groups of 6 or more people were not allowed to enter. I could understand a loud and rowdy group, but a bunch of disabled veterans in their 70s is sad. Come as an out of state guest to our post and most likely someone will greet you and offer you a beverage.

We were up here from South Carolina and we were turned away at the canteen. 15 Life members most in their 70s. We were told that we are to big a group and they wouldn't have any room for their local members. There were 4 people in the canteen at the time. We would never do that at our post and will welcome everyone with open arms and most likely buy you a drink. Pretty sad.

Post 7318 refused service to 16 veterans from a Mrytle Beach Post today. Could not believe that as a disabled veteran i was told since our group was from out of town they would not serve us.

They will not allow members from other posts in if they have a group of 6 or more without prior approval.
