Versac Main Street Cafe

I used to love the food here, but after my latest experience I will not be going back. I picked up my to go order and when i got home and bit into my sandwich i noticed it tasted extremely odd. I opened up the sandwich to find mold on every single piece of cheese and gray meat. I called back to let them know and they said I could only get a refund if i traveled back to the restaurant. Eventually I went back with the sandwich even though that was inconvenient, and I asked for a manager and they said they didn’t have one there. When I got there no one said a single word to us, no apologies. I used to love the food here, but the customer service and food was absolutely disgusting.

First time at this cafe and gotta say I am impressed. My mom always goes here and said get the “Rancheros” with fried egg. The dish is chopped chorizo with jalapeños in hot sauce. The taste is a like sweet and tangy hot salsa for breakfast. My sides were yuca frites and tropical cheese which balances the flavor. The service was very polite and urgent with the food too. Came for my birthday breakfast. Everything was fantastic.

I ordered two steak sandwiches for my daughter and I for dinner. It came out to $36.xx. When the sandwich was served in a box and I opened the box, I was surprised to see how small it was. It was served on a Wonder bread type of small piece of bread and not the long bread. There was barely any steak on both sandwiches, but the box was full with fries. I paid $17.xx per sandwich for wonder bread and fries. Never again.

Been coming here for about a year now, food is always good. With that said, **there is a 20% service charge added to the bill.**The waitress didn’t disclose that they add this on when she brought over the check and when I asked she said “oh yes that’s the tip already added on” Sneaky behavior… Disclose this to your customers.
