Vernon Parish Library

It's a nice library, but it can get expensive if you aren't careful. At other libraries, overdue fines are maybe 10 cents a day. If you get a card here, beware--they're more like $1 per day, and they will NOT be flexible if you're having sticker shock. Even if you're a first-time offender. My wife just paid a $4 fine across all the books that were about 10 days overdue! It's more worth it to get a Kindle subscription or something if you're a busy person.

Was here for a presentation. The staff was friendly and very helpful in assisting me. The library was clean and cool. Signed up for the upcoming classes offered and can't wait to attend!

Library is good, but my bike got stolen and staff refused to check cameras about 2 years ago. I’m still upset. Do better.

Great place to find an actual book to read, or choose an ebook. Board games, electronic games and videos/dvds can also be rented. a place to use free internet access from your own computer or borrow theirs. Cozy and welcoming with plenty of places to sit at a table or in a cozy chair. Most of the time the staff is awesome but I’ve been in a few times where staff wasn’t very friendly and/or ignored you for extended amounts of time. The main reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that it’s pretty noisy for a library. People are continually talking & laughing loudly (including staff), people talking on cell phones and receiving calls on their cell phones inside the library & kids running & being noisy. Maybe that’s the norm for libraries now a days??

AWESOME! Going to the Libby app, I couldn't sign into Overdrive I had to go into the local branch, explained what was happening. They took great care of my needs, were very nice. Exceptional customer service. Thank you.
