Genuine Review: Had an awesome meal at Vanam Restaurant with their pure vegetarian menu. We tried the Gobi Manchuria, Jackfruit Biryani, and Mysore Bonda. Honestly, everything tasted super yummy and fresh. I’m giving 4⭐ only because we specifically requested the Gobi Manchuria to be extra spicy 🌶️ and crispy. It was slightly crispy, but not spicy at all, it actually tasted a little sweet, almost like fried gobi topped with honey. The Jackfruit Biryani was absolutely top-notch, especially the rice texture perfectly cooked. (Hyderabadis will understand exactly what I mean when I say perfect biryani rice texture 😄) Coming to the Mysore Bonda, no complaints at all. The people there were so friendly and the service was top-notch. I felt so welcomed and well taken care of. The food was absolutely awesome , very flavorful, very authentic taste. The servers(Twincy - our server) were all very curteous and very pleasant. Wait was not terrible, it was packed yet place was being expanded. We ordered Dosas, gobi and corn manchurian, ginger tea and kids noodle and all of them were good. On a seperate note, they do need to pay attention to restroom cleanliness though.

Absolutely authentic South Indian experience! We visited this restaurant in Chicago and were blown away — the food tasted just like home. Every dish reminded me of eating in my local hometown in India — perfectly spiced, fresh, and full of flavor. The dosa, sambar, curries and chutneys were exactly as they should be. On top of that, the service was excellent — especially from Twinsy, who went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Truly felt like a slice of India right here in Chicago. Highly recommended!

This is quite a delightful place! It's well decorated and the welcoming. The staff are also really nice and polite, the owner was also going around tables asking if everything was ok. We pointed out the paan had gone soggy so he bought us some fresh new paan, it was really nice of him. The food itself it out of this world, fresh and delicious. Took it's sweet time but it's understandable. We got the special weekend thalis which has a gazillion items and two people can eat, we got dosas, idli, wada, parota and curry. Everything was delicious. It's even priced better than other south Indian restaurants compared to the quality of food. Lots of tables yet it was getting crowded. Highly recommended!
