Valerie’s Scratch Kitchen

Had breakfast with a friend of mine this morning and tried out Valerie’s for the 1st time! From the minute I walked through the door the hostess was incredibly friendly and just overall polite. That made a difference. We got a seat by the window which was nice! Service was great! The gentleman we had did a great job. I rated the food 4 out of 5 because, although it was VERY good… I hoped my hash browns were more crispier as I had requested. All is well, I know it takes time. I had a Benny with spinach, tomatoes and bacon & it was delightful but I don’t believe my English muffin was toasted at all. I’m use to a toasted EM which added yummy flavor and a bit of a crunch! The egg was cooked perfectly and all was great over all. Oh… we also had a home made cinnamon roll that was covered in glaz

The staff was friendly, the place is clean. We didn't wait to be seated. The 2 of us enjoyed a great lunch where it was not crowded. The only comment is, the fries are never really hot. Still very tasty. I had the chicken pesto panini! Yum!

Great place for breakfast. Friendly and super attentive staff. I ordered the Monte Cristo and a single blueberry pancake with hot coffee it was delicious.

First time here and it was ok. I had reuben sandwich which was tasty and was portioned well. Substituted home fries instead of regular fries. They weren't bad, just cold. Husband had eggs Benedict with homefries that were warmer than mine, definitely not hot. He also had biscuits and gravy. Everything was OK.

Visited on a Wed morning. Place was about 30% full and staffing seems appropriate for the number of customers. Sat at the bar since I was alone. Menu has a good selection of items and prices are in line with most other places like this. I had homemade hash with scrambled. Hash was very good and was finely shreded, they also have canned hash if that is not to your liking. Restrooms are modern and well maintained, always a plus. Overall, exactly what I expected, will be on my radar when going through this area.
