Valencia Public Library

I finally found a peaceful spot in the Valencia Public Library which allowed me to finish my senior thesis while avoiding the typical café noise. The library staff provided me with access to a historical document which I believed to be non-existent until that moment which strengthened my research argument. The design of Valencia follows a simple design pattern which resembles a traditional front porch. The library volunteers maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout each day. The library provides an unexpected benefit through its on-site café which serves excellent coffee making it feel like a weekend retreat instead of a task to read through numerous books.

The passport service is provided here and unfortunately by a very rude and quite frankly miserable young man. We booked back to back 3pm and 3:20pm appointments for our 2 kids. When we arrived 10mins late to the first appointment. The miserable young man said he can't help us anymore for being late. He can only help one kid. He told us to go wait somewhere and he'll call us when he's ready. He literally just sits at a tiny desk at the front entrance playing on his phone.

Great location to get your passport. Helpful staff. Had amazing books for a recent research paper; I was able to checkout 17 resources. If you still have a DVD player, this location has great family movies & musicals on DVD.

Clean, nice staff and comfortable temperature on a wet, cold day. A+

Friendly staff, clean environment, and plenty of accessible books. My daughters always enjoy playing, drawing, and reading here!
