US Forest Service Ranger Station

Well I can see how the Forest service is saving money. If you don't keep the station open,you don't haft pay the electric,water,personnel. Smart to do everything online so you don't have to deal with customers in person. The next thing you know,Enumclaw will have a new Coffee shop soon. Hopefully not a Starbucks

KEEP THE FOREST SERVICE RANGER STATION LOCAL TO THE FOOTHILLS! The Enumclaw location has an awe-inspiring view of Mt. Rainier. The Rangers and staff are friendly and helpful. Ample parking, massive old growth log photo op, loads of outdoorsy gifts, a large variety of maps, a nice collection of historic photos. Christmas tree permits. Online options. Hours are Wednesday to Friday, with a lunchbreak grom 12:30 to 1:30.

The station should be open for six hours two days a week only. But even if you go during hours, do not expect to find it open. Government at its finest!

My mom's boyfriend and I stop in at the US forest service ranger station multiple times a week while we're running errands around town.. it's actually, really, my favorite government building or property to go to. Granted, most of the time we go there after the regular business hours but it's because they live in their RV and camp at national Parks the maximum amount that they can, throughout every week. It is exactly that reason why it's so comfortable to come by this government office... I was told that when people can't overnight at our national parks that they can go to a ranger station and if they need water, get water.If they need to get rid of recycling and maybe a little bit of garbage, they can do that. you know there's different services available

I’ve driven by this ranger station hundreds of times in my 30+ years living here, but only the night before a trip, realizing my national park pass was expired, did I think to go in. This was a super convenient location and I will definitely return. A very helpful Ranger opened the office right at 8am and got me on my way quickly. Thanks for saving the day!
