Uni Sushi

I recently discovered this hidden gem of a sushi restaurant tucked away in a strip mall next to Starbucks and that shares a parking lot with Taco Bell in Highlands Ranch. From the outside, it’s easy to miss, But once you step inside, you’re in for a treat! The menu is massive, offering an impressive variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and Japanese dishes. What stands out is the freshness of the food and the high-quality ingredients. The sushi was some of the best in the area, beating the regular spots in Highlands Ranch. Our server was delightful —kind, attentive, and very helpful in navigating the menu. They made excellent recommendations and made us feel well taken care of. First time here was really good, second time we got a sushi boat and it was phenomenal. I love sushi and this place has REALLY good quality fish. My only confusion is that it’s been mostly empty both times we went. It means the service is really fast, and they’ve always been responsive and friendly. I can’t understand why there’s not more competition for their delicious food.

So glad the corn dog place is gone. Maybe they would have stayed with better service. My wife and I always go a little crazy with sushi cause it all sounds good. We picked quite a few things and some were maybe too similar in taste/texture but thats out fault. We just saw something that sounded good and picked it . Also my wife has a shrimp allergy so it was nice that not every single roll had sushi in it like many sushi locations. We had three appetizers, the Jalapeno bomb, tuna taretare, and spicy crispy tuna, which literally has no spice. For sushi we had the naruto roll, godzilla roll, golden lobster roll, and the joker roll. All very delicious. Incredibly excited its two minutes from out house! Can’t wait to walk here instead of driving when it cools off outside!

The tables are the first thing we noticed. They looked like they had just been cleaned and no one dried them. But after making sure, it was a unique decoration. We ordered the Spicy Crispy Tuna as an appetizer. They were fantastic. The Joker Roll had a bit of shiso - a very flavorful plant that complemented the tuna. The Naruto Roll was simple and delicious. The Sakura Roll was a great mix with soy paper. All in all, for their first day opening - it was a pleasant experience and we are looking forward to the next visit

This place has been exemplary every time we come. The sushi chefs take great care in crafting the dishes and are extremely friendly. When we order hot tea, it never runs empty before we are offered another kettle of it. Even the California roll tastes terrific, and yet, it costs less than if you were to buy a roll off the shelf at the grocery store next door.
