Uncommon Grill

Our group of 14 was disappointed when another restaurant was closed due to a water main break. Instead of canceling our monthly lunch meet up, Uncommon Grill was able to accommodate us on such short notice. The service was excellent and our waiter Matt made sure that everything went smoothly, even suggesting some of his favorite dishes, always with a smile. All the entrees came out within a few minutes of each other and hot dishes were piped hot. Delicious food and drinks! Everyone was too full for dessert, but a few opted to take a big piece of cake to-go. Our group always does separate checks, and this was done quickly and smoothly as we were able to pay right at the table. I was really excited to try this restaurant. I had heard such great things. With that being said, I absolutely loved the appetizer we purchased. It was candied bacon and tasted SO GOOD! (See photos, honestly the photos don’t do it justice!) They were presented well and had so much flavor. I do have to say only 3 pieces of bacon is an odd amount for an appetizer and makes it weird when splitting with others. They’re thick pieces, just wish it was a more even amount. My husband & I shared a plate of Pulled BBQ Pork Tacos with a side of rice & beans. The side of yellow rice & beans was $5 more (which I knew when I ordered it) but I was honestly expecting a bit better quality and not refried beans but actual yellow rice with the beans mixed in… The menu just states “yellow rice with beans” it

The line was as fun to see as it was to eat—sweet, smoky, and irresistible. For our main courses, we tried the Top of the Morning Burger, the Crab Cake Burger, and a Caesar Salad with perfectly grilled salmon. Every dish was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The Top of the Morning Burger, topped with a perfectly runny fried egg, was a standout that tied the meal together beautifully. From inventive starters to satisfying entrees, this place left a lasting impression—we’ll definitely be back to explore more.

We had a great experience. The food was great. We started with the poutine. Great portion and very tasty. For entrees we got the chipotle penne and grilled cod. They both tasted really good and were decent portions. We had a couple really good desserts as well. Cocktails were on point and so was service. We will definitely be back. We did go a bit early and sat at the bar.

AMAZING. We sat outside any the patio is great! It’s a nice atmosphere and the service was great. Ana was attentive and made sure our service was quick and thorough. Suzie was super attentive to us when we arrived and made us feel right at home!! The drinks were great — the draft list was on Untapped. I recommend this place to anyone as a destination or traveling through the area.
