Uncle Chai Thailand Street Food

We ordered the Kuai Tiao Khua Gai with shrimp and the Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with chicken. Both dishes were excellent—the drunken noodles had a nice spicy kick, while the Khua Gai was perfectly medium spicy. Really enjoyed the food and had a great evening overall.

One of my fave, tucked away places in the valley. The family that runs the place is so nice, and you can tell they really care about their food and guest experience. The prices are good, portions are great, and what I really love about this place is - it's quiet in there. It's one of those rare places if you want to get away from the tourist crowds and just have a comfy, cozy dinner where you can hear people at your table and the vibes are calm. They have good sound deadening, what a concept from yesteryear! My partner loves their pad thai, and I've ordered up and down their curry menu, larb salad dumplings, and most recently their Khao Soi soup was absolutely delicious, I cannot wait to come back and get it again. This is an absolutely amazing place. The food is very nicely prepared and so tasty. The restaurant is well decorated and plenty parking. We will sure revisit this place next time in town.

My raiting is - Avoid. Let's start with atmosphere. You walk in, and you are immediately feeling depressed, I cannot explain it, but I am guessing it the brown ceiling. The food was pretty bad. Everything we tried was bad. Tom yum was just off, and they cut whole pack of tofu in quarters and those large chunks were sitting there. Chicken satay - we ask if this was the chicken breast, the answer was yes, but it was no, and tasted rubbery. The main dish was some noodles ordered with chicken, the chicken pieces were ice cold and not cooked though. If I get sick, I will change this review to one star 🌟 I am also concerned how this place has so many good reviews.

Best Thai food around. The flavors are amazing. Everyone is friendly and I love going to the atrium. Can do some antiquing while I’m there. I got the drunken noodle. It’s out of this world.
