I had 1 concern out of my entire experience! There is a fee to use a card, which is abnormal for the guest to pay unless it's a small charge. $9 card fee on top of a $300 bill didnt really make sense.. Aside from that.. I had a great experience at Umi Seafood Buffet and chose to celebrate my birthday here with my family. We came as a table of 10, and everything from start to finish was smooth and enjoyable. The host, a young male, was very kind and accommodating, which made arriving with a large group easy and stress-free. Our server — a friendly woman with short hair — was especially great: attentive, efficient, and welcoming without being overbearing. Umi Hotpot is such a fun spot to eat at. There’s a wide selection of food, including sushi, seafood, hot dishes, desserts, and more, and everything we tried was fresh and tasty. The ramen surprised me in the best way… super comforting and really good for a buffet. The place is clean, the staff is attentive, and you definitely get your money’s worth. Tons of options across the buffet — although I was a little sad there weren’t any scallops. One thing to note: many of the buffet items aren’t labeled, so it can be hard to tell exactly what you’re picking up. Also, not every tray has its own serving tongs, so sometimes you have to borrow from another dish. That could be a downside if you have food allergies or strict dietary preferences. Honestly the best buffet around. But of course, like with every buffet, there are hit and miss dishes but most of them are very good. Only down side is the wait time. Just be prepare to wait 1-2+ hrs depending on day and time you go. You can use a kiosk upon entering to add your party to the queue and they text you when it’s ready. Highly recommend to pay attention to where you are in line so you can come back if you do decide to leave. **Now I decided to add this part in but just know it’s not part of the buffet food.** They had this Facebook promotional event where they’ll ask you to post their flyer on your Facebook page and each person who post will get steak and lobster for free.
