UZU Revolving Sushi

We recently visited UZU Revolving Sushi and overall had a really solid experience, especially if you’re into AYCE sushi and want variety. UZU is located right on Rockville Pike inside a busy shopping plaza that’s become a bit of a food hub lately. The concept is fun and modern: a revolving sushi belt with basic plates passing by, plus a tablet at the table where you can order anything more specific. On top of that, food is delivered via bullet train and even server robots, which adds to the whole experience. They offer three AYCE tiers: Genin – $35 (plates from $3.99–$4.99) Chunin – $45 (plates from $3.99–$6.99) Jonin – $65 (plates up to $8.99) We went with Chunin, which felt like the sweet spot in terms of value and selection. Angie was our server and she did such an amazing job to make us feel welcomed! She’s very funny, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. I always go for the Jōnin option to try everything they have to offer. The food is always great, and I even got to try out new items I hadn’t tried before. The best choices would definitely be the “what the fudge”, Wagyu, and the takoyaki. The chocolate/mango mochi ice cream is to die for.

Had a great experience! Nicole and Gabe were fantastic—super attentive about clearing our table and always making sure we had everything we needed. The decor and overall vibe were really nice and made the experience even better. The sushi was great quality, and the seared salmon was a standout for us. The tuna and salmon crispy rice was a bit too hard for my taste, but the miso soup was solid. I also really appreciated how fast the service was—the rate at which the rolls I wanted came by was very good, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, great service and a fun place to eat.

By far my favorite revolving sushi in the DMV. The food comes out SO quickly that there is never more than a few minute wait. By far the reason I recommend here is because of the scallops which is in the middle tier option. This option alone makes the price point ($45 at this time in 2026) worth it.

Loving the concept here at Uzu. It’s a made to order Ayce conveyor belt restaurant. They have a wide variety of sushi, sashimi and Asian fusion dishes. The table gets their own iPad where you can order. I recommend one person double checking your order queue and times. This way you can track all of your orders as the queue fills up. They have different tiers and I usually opt for the mid tier at $45. This premium tier includes the better cuts like branzino, higher quality ingredients like yuzu, foie gras and truffle. I have been here twice the last couple of months. The rice has always been inconsistent. Either you’re getting a lot of rice or uncooked. Overall, service here is great.
