Twisted Shrimp

We decided to try this place on the way to Miami from Key West after reading the Google reviews. The place itself is a bit rundown but the service is great and the food is really good. The sautéed mahi was really nice (I asked for some modifications for my toddler and they were happy to help) but the start of the meal was the shrimp and grits. Sooooo tasty and packed full of flavor. Bathroom was clean enough and we found parking easily during Saturday lunch hour.

The place is a little small, but the food and the service is amazing. I had the Lobster Po Boy (that's right, I said Lobster...), with a side of cole slaw. My wife had a Shrimp skewer over vegetables with rice. Both meals were more than enough. The service was exceptional, as our hosts were more than hospitable. I completely get the high ratings for Twisted Shrimp. Sitting outside (in the Florida sun) is the best.

I was so excited to find gluten free options, especially fried shrimp, shrimp and grits and Keylime pie. The meal was delicious! But when we returned to our room I became very sick.The owner and staff were incredibly nice.

We loved it here!! The waitress was so nice and welcoming! The boom boom basket is delicious and the fried okra was also so good! The ceasar salad is good but too much dressing for my liking but I’d get it in the side next time. The kids chicken tender basket is a big portion. The atmosphere though is perfection. Super chill! Relaxing and sunny places to sit as well as shades spots with big fans.

Amazing find! Bit out of the way - but worth the trip. Best fried shrimp, hand battered in tasty recipe and the shrimp were huge Wonderful atmosphere.
