Terrific store with high-end groceries, kitchen novelties, very clean and spacious restrooms (not gender-specific). Funny selection of cocktail napkins. Array of salad and sandwich choices including a limited possibility for "create-your-own". Beautiful desserts on display and what appeared to be a fabulous homemade ice cream case, though I cannot partake of that, so I concentrated my attention elsewhere. Drink case offered several varieties of bottled drinks, both carbonated and not, as well as water. We had a lovely salad and part of a baguette, drinks and a dessert for about $30. I had a delicious coconut/ chocolate confection, while my hubby enjoyed a blondie (that sounds like a whole other topic, but I mean the light version of a brownie!!). Indoor and outdoor seating are available.
This place presents really well, but their food is awful. It just doesn’t have any taste. It’s basically a tourist trap, I don’t know anyone who lives here that actually goes there for anything.
Twelve Pine could be a much more popular place for lunch, but it's not. The food is delicious, the restaurant is cozy, and the ladies working there are generally friendly and provide good service. However, talk to anyone in this town as to why they don't go there more often and it's always the same answer - the man (presumably the owner) treats the employees horribly and the coldness of his personality permeates the atmosphere of the store when he is there. He berates the employees over the littlest things and seems to have a general dislike for people. I've never seen an owner of a local shop ever seem so annoyed to have customers in his store. We stop in less and less frequently because what should be an enjoyably lunch is always overshadowed by the negative energy permeating the store
I love coming here especially when Deklin is working. Deklin is one of the hardest working young people I’ve seen in a while. He always makes sure I’ve got everything I need and he is very kind and considerate.
A wonderful place, The best blueberry scone I have ever had, and a Dirty Chai Latte (2 shots of espresso) that was so good I got a 2nd for the ride home. Everything looked amazing, the entrees in the case looked delicious and the presentation was top notch! I had to leave before the pastry case got the better of me... Worth the trip!!!
