I have been here twice now. The first time I ordered the Halibut, which was good but a bit over cooked, it had a dry, almost pressed texture. I really enjoyed the tartar sauce. I decided to give it a second try to test out the cod. I am not sure what went wrong as I have never had fish like this before…it was really mushy, almost like a puree inside the breading. I am sad, the location is cute and the staff is so friendly, I really wanted to enjoy the food! The fries are good, the tartar sauce is great, and the coleslaw is good, the fish just wasn’t for me.

This fish and chips will change your life!!! Or maybe it's the extremely kind owners + family-led team behind the counter. They remembered my order and my mom’s extra lemon without even asking. The fish was BEYOND delicious (huge flaky pieces, not greasy- perfect on all levels). We had to go back the day after during our short trip to Deception Pass just to try it again. Also, the most beautiful heron viewing spot. 10/10- thank you Rob and fam at Tunnies Fish & Chips! Will definitely be back during WA Renaissance Faire later this year 🐟❤️☀️

I’ve been very fortunate to travel to the likes of Portland Maine, the Bay Area, Boston, Rhode Island, and many more. It’s safe to say I’ve eaten my fair share of Fish and Chips from some pretty well known spots. When I tell you that Tunnies is hands down far and away the BEST basket of fish and chips I’ve ever had all I can say is RUN to this restaurant the second it opens. Not even 1 hour since I finished my meal and I’m already looking for a reason to find myself back in La Conner. The food is fresh, hearty, and light (never thought I’d describe fried food as light, but I didn’t get that heavy feeling that other fried food gives me). The staff working when I came was a brother sister duo who was so kind to myself and my dog, and knowing that it’s truly family owned and ran really adds

Fresh take on Fish and Chips. With great flavor, crunch and great presentation! Highly recommend stopping by this road side bite or to take to go. Cod fish and chips and Chowder are all very tasty, served with a touch of heat from their Tartar sauce. My wife typically doesn't enjoy fried food, but she raved about the fish and chips here, because the batter tastes fresh and was too oily.

Despite the rain and wind, this little place was so awesome! The lady who was serving us (on Halloween) was dressed up in an awesome costume, and she was super friendly and helpful. We ordered a couple meals plus clam chowder. Our halibut, scallops, and clam chowders were phenomenal! Fries were also pretty awesome, though the seasoning was slightly uneven. Their tartar sauce and ketchup also had unique flavors. The food was piping hot when we got it, so know it was fresh and cooked with proper timing. I'm so glad we got to swing by there before they closed for the evening.
