Sneeoosh Beach

While this beach is not exactly comfortable to walk on barefoot it is an extraordinary place located in the Swinomish Reservation looking out into the calm waters of Skagit Bay. This rocky beach is full of purple and hairy shore crabs in addition to lots of clams and acorn barnacles.

Ok, yes, there is a little bit of parking and access to a pebble/rocky beach, but the muddy low tide will keep most activities to a minimum. Kayaking can be done to go around Hope island or Deadman Island, etc., but winds can blow hard and the near/far shore is quite shallow.

Beautiful beach!! Great for walking, sitting, and exploring. Not good at low tide for getting boats in and out! That kind of mud you just stick to.

This is a really lovely beach, perfect for kayaking, boating, or just walking. It's rocky, so don't expect to be making sand castles, but the driftwood can be just as exciting to mess around with. Sadly, it is a private beach, there's limited parking, and some, but not all, of the homeowners in the area are rather militant about enforcing private property. I almost want to give another star because an entire sailboat washed up on the beach one time, that was pretty darn cool.

Beautiful beach. Amazing driftwood and great shadows for a photographer if you have a professional camera. If you go recommend bringing a little bag to pick up any trash you find that happens to wash up onshore to help keep it clean.
