True Texas BBQ

To start, the staff were very friendly. Secondly, the fatty brisket was the best brisket I’ve ever had in my life. That bark had me barking like a dog. It was unbeatable and would fall apart when trying to cut it. The ribs were good and peppery but tenderness was left to be desired. The slaw is refreshing and the brisket beans were phenomenal; they include huge chunks of brisket. Overall, very filling but a bit pricey. An added bonus is beer on draft.

Food was ok here. Food seasoned well. Iexpecting the price but ok. They promote the small sandwich for price value appearance, but you need to get the larger size if you're hungry. 15$ for a sandwich is high and it doesn't include sides. Pickles we're dry. Bread was ok.

Never knew HEB had an in-house BBQ place….True BBQ. The bbq was better than I thought it would be. But what was phenomenal was the customer service; so very friendly and helpful. Experience True BBQ at least once; you won’t be disappointed.

The portion was way to small, and dry for the price. The coleslaw was bitter probably expired. The server coughed near the food prep without covering or washing. Very unhappy with the service and food

Is this best tasting and best BBQ I've ever eaten? No, but it is better than most bbq restaurants and it's tied to the best grocery store which makes its easy. We often eat at the Killeen HEB true Texas BBQ and my kids love it. This last time we went though the service was above and beyond so I had to write a review because Nina helped and went above and beyond and was awesome. She was so sweet to my kids and helped us with everything we needed before we even asked. Great job!!
