I ordered a Bolon Mixto, and while I'm bitting I felt this metal fiber in my mouth. After that I wasn't hungry anymore, so I told the waiter about what happened and he just said that things like that happen, it's just normal and the only thing he could do to fix the situation would be discounting the coffee which wasn't fair. Additionally, he charged me a tip of 22% in advance without asking me if I agree to tip for this disgusting meal. They scam you like that so you don't notice when swiping the card, and he was still expecting the tip on the merchants copy. It is just the worst experience ever.

First time at this location, we went for dinner. Food is good. It is authentic Ecuadorian (coast side of the country type) Prices are OK. Portions are good. Service is good. Place needs to update, clean and sanitize. Fabric seats have to be replace, tables needs to be better clean. Bathroom needs cleaning and to have everything in working order. PLUS ➕ each table has a hand sanitizer bottle, I thought it was nice. Music is way too much of loudness. Tip is already included in the check.

I’ve been Tropical 1 twice before (a friends bday dinner and my own bday dinner party in ‘22) love it ! All of it Authentic delicious Ecuadorian food nd Colombian You won’t regretted. Party in the wknd. Lots of fun

Good neighborhood restaurant. The restaurant is cute with outdoor seating. The food is Ecuadorian and there are also some Colombian dishes. The have a national dish named Guatita which is very good here. It consists of tripe and potatoes cut into small pieces and in a peanut sauce. It is accompanied by rice and fried plantains. They food comes with sides and the portions are big. The service is good and so are the prices. This neighborhood restaurant is worth checking out at least once.

First stop back visiting NY and we went here. The food was amazing! Truly authentic!
